Pipe Racking Systems

Modular pipe racking and long-goods storage built from the Flexpipe pipe & joint system — cantilever, vertical and mobile racks sized to your pipe, hose, tube and conduit, and delivered Australia-wide.

Modular cantilever pipe and long-goods storage rack built with the Flexpipe pipe and joint system

Pipe racking built for your stock, not off a catalogue

Standard steel racking rarely fits how you actually store pipe, tube, hose, conduit or long timber. Because Flexpipe racking is modular, every rack is sized to your exact lengths, diameters and quantities — and rebuilt in-house when your stock changes. It costs a fraction of welded fabrication, ships as a labelled kit, and goes together with a hex key.

Pipe racking vs flow racks — what’s the difference?

They’re often confused, so it’s worth being clear:

  • Pipe racking (pipe storage racking) is static storage for long goods — pipe, tube, hose, conduit, bar stock and timber — held on cantilever arms or in vertical/horizontal bays. The long good is the item being stored.
  • Flow racks (gravity/FIFO racks) are a different, dynamic system: totes or cartons sit on inclined roller lanes and slide by gravity to a pick face, feeding first-in-first-out.

This page covers pipe storage racking. If you need dynamic order-picking or line-side supply instead, see our gravity flow rack plans.

What you can build

  • Cantilever racking — open arms for pipe, tube and long bar stock, loaded from the front (cantilever rack plan).
  • Vertical & horizontal storage bays — sized to your lengths and diameters, keeping stock accessible and safe.
  • Hydraulic hose & conduit storage — tidy, labelled storage that ends tangled, floor-stored hose (hose storage rack plan).
  • Mobile pipe trolleys & long-goods carts — move long stock safely between bays and machines.
  • Need dynamic FIFO instead? Our gravity flow racks feed stock to the pick face by gravity.

Why modular pipe racking beats welded

  • Sized to your stock — not forced to fit fixed bay dimensions
  • Reconfigurable — adjust or rebuild as your inventory changes, reusing the same parts
  • No hot works — assemble and modify in a live area without welding permits or downtime
  • WHS-friendly — ergonomic heights and safe long-goods handling
  • Cost-effective — typically far cheaper than welded or catalogue racking
